Horizon Genesis Testnet and Staker Update

Horizon Genesis Testnet Update

We are happy to announce that our new version of Horizon Genesis is ready for a public testnet launch on Friday 11th of June. Horizon Genesis sets the foundation for Horizon Protocol with the collateralization logic needed to mint and trade synthetic assets. Horizon Genesis will release with the stake/mint, burn, claim, and earn functions. This update includes a brand new UI and some quality of life improvements for managing the user’s c-ratio.

More info about how this works can be read in our litepaper here or here.

We would like to invite the community to have an early look and experience Horizon Genesis before mainnet launch. Users will be able to receive testnet HZN tokens from a faucet in order to test for themselves. More on how to do this here.

Horizon Staker Update

Friday 11th of June also marks the end of the 8-week staking period for Horizon Staker. We have decided to extend the duration of the HZN pool and HZN-BNB LP pool to continue alongside the PHB pool with the same rewards found here. The PHB pool will continue on its 52-week course with its front-loaded period coming to an end. The duration of the HZN pool will be extended until Horizon Genesis is released on the mainnet, which is planned after our public testing period, and the HZN-BNB LP pool will be on-going for the time being to help stimulate liquidity of our pair. Once Horizon Genesis mainnet is live, HZN staking will be moved into Horizon Genesis and will provide much greater reward opportunities than currently exist in the HZN pool.

The Horizon Protocol team would like to thank the community for the continued support as we steer toward our mission of providing the creation of on-chain synthetic assets representing the real economy.
